自從美國總統川普宣布確診武漢肺炎後，陸陸續續也出現多名幕僚染疫；克里斯蒂是川普的顧問，他表示自己在替川普準備首場辯論排練時，當時房間內約有5至6人，全部都沒有戴口罩。
克里斯蒂表示，9月26日下午到29日午餐時間，他也都有到白宮替川普排練辯論，協助排練的成員還有曾任紐約市長的川普私人律師朱利安尼（Rudy Giuliani）。
